Bike(s):
05' Harley Davidson 883XL low. Sold
06' R6 Raven, FOR SALE!!!!!

Unhappy so apparently i need a different helmet...

see what happened was....

love starting a story that way.

i was on richmond (eastbound) headed towards hwy 6, behind west oaks mall going between 35-40. i was in the righthand side of the right lane, was going to make a right at hwy 6. there was a car in front of me. as i was comin up behind it, i was waiting for it to move to the left lane. when it didnt, i moved to the leftside of the right lane, it still doesnt move. so i get in the leftlane. now it decides to move to the left, so i lean a lil to move into the rightlane again. the car doesnt use a turn signal, but does tap its brakes as it moves to the left. this is where i hit the back left corner panel and edge of the bumper.

ouch, yet again.

i get pushed over to the left. i kept my hands on the controls as i slid. first part of me that rubbed the concrete is my left shoulder. the bike kinda bounced when i went down, so i pulled my left leg from under the bike. this is when i lost my right shoe and fuse box cover. i let go of the bike as it comes to a stop.

i think i slid maybe 75 feet, not sure. i'll check next time im over there.

Gear:

helmet, agv with rossi' number 46 on it
t-shirt
jeans
shoes, vans. slip on.

Damage:

bent forks
shredded clutch cable
broken shiffter peg
shaved down foot peg (leftside)
bent and rashed headlight and cover
completely thrashed front fender
scratched fuse cover
bent liscense plate

Damage to me:

rashed shoulder
rashed on back
small cuts on right pinky finger
small cuts on right toes (big and next two toes)
bruised inside of both knees
bruised both forearms
bruised inside of right bicep (sp?)
after i get up, the car stopped. the gentleman gets out ask me how im doing, i say "umm, that hurt." i go pick up my bike, and look for my shoe. when i see it 50ft behind me on the road, i realize how far i slid and how lucky i am. the guy goes and gets my shoe, while im trying to put my bike in neutral. this is where i find out the clutch has no pressure and im facing the wrong direction. so then a white truck pulls up, enter off duty harris county sherriff. he calls the wreck in, nobody from hpd comes.

i call blends and his girl, they show up. then we(me, blends, blends gf, sherriff, and guy in car) put my 562lbs harley in her 08 silverado.

wow, my bike is heavy.

to those that want to say it, yes i know i wouldn't have as bad of injuries had i of been wearing the proper gear. in my defense, i was wearing a helmet. which is more gear than the average harley rider. so there.

and thank you very much to blends and britt. oh and eyeagainstall (ruben) and izzie.

nite after, blends tells me i need a new helmet because rossi don't crash. then ask what is stoner's number.

rule #1 - keep the shinny side up!

For real though glad youre in one piece. dude with the luck you have, I don't think well be jumping together anytime soon, I don't think I want to test faith that way!

If your skinny can fit my gear you are wellcome to borrow (yes that means return in the same condition) one of my helmets and even a jacket for when you get your fixed again. Ohh yeah boots dont come off squid.

Glad you were wearing a helmet - now you know what they are for.

Lemme know if you need some help putting that thing together (gotta wait till afte oct 5th though)
