Double fatality, 9-25

Heard about this today when I went by the insurance office and thought I post it up to let everyone know to be careful.

be carefull out there peeps, speed seems to be the factor as to these deaths, please keep it safe and live to ride another day. im sure where youu you are heading to is not gonna go anywhere if you get there a few minutes late. so keep it safe and be alert out on the street, lots of cages that cant judge our distance/speed. so play it safe and bless to all.

Two Joaquin men died when the motorcycles they each were operating struck the side of a vehicle at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Shelby County, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Clinton Burditt, 20, riding a Suzuki motorcycle, and Brandon Shook, 18, riding a Honda motorcycle, were westbound at a high rate of speed on U.S. Hwy. 84 when they struck the side of a 2003 Chevy SUV driven by Lisa Manshack, 36, of Logansport as she pulled onto U.S. Hwy. 84 out of the Brookshire Brother's parking lot. The two riders were ejected on impact.

Burditt died on scene and a death inquest was performed at 4:20 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Margie L. Anderson. Shook was taken to Shelby Regional Hospital in Center and died at 4:54 p.m. Manshack was also taken to Shelby Regional Hospital and was listed in good condition with neck injuries, according to the DPS.

----------Sounds like she pulled out in front of them, regardless of their speed, she probably wasn't paying attention and didn't see them. Very sad day for their families. RIP to them, both.

That all depends on how fast they were riding. I've almost pulled out in front of people that were hauling some serious around slight curves or over hills. You come around the wrong curve at 90mph when the speed limit is 40, whoever is pulling out doesn't have time to react.

I'm not sure how fast they were going, or even if they were in fact speeding, so I can't really pass judgement, but it's sad either way.
