Wish I had my bike before I moved down here...

I've been lurking around here for a little while looking for a starter bike and just reading up on some general info. Ended up finding an 02 SV650 Naked a couple months ago and I love it. I originally got it as a commuter to save some money, but this motorcycle stuff is really addictive. One of the other members here already took me down to the race track by alvin, and that was amazing. We didnt ride, and hopefully I wont get sucked into that for a while, but it was a blast just watching and being in that type of atmosphere.

I'm 22, I work for USA on site at JSC, live in the clear lake area, and I'm looking for some fun places to ride. I've only got about 350 miles under my belt so far, but its just so much fun! Moved down here in January from West Virginia, so its a huge change for me. At least down here motorcycle season never runs out. I would have loved to have the bike back home though for all the mountains and back roads... guess I'll have to take a road trip sometime. Anyways... off to the forums again

Welcome. Be safe when commuting as there are some crazy cagers out there. And as far as the track thing, just remember this: Once you go track you never go back.

I'd love to go on some more rides, see some more of the area. For anyone in this area, (Azylum and Hookem2255) are there any decent roads in the area? I ride down middlebrook to space center pretty much every day and from what I can find, thats about the least traffic and most curves I'm going to get in this area.

I'm always wanting to go for a ride, I might just have other priorities at the time. We currently have a couple of friends living with us that got flooded out by Ike, so we spend a lot of our time over at their house gutting it and cleaning it up. By all means, let me know if anyone is riding in this area, most likely I'll make time to tag along.

Yeah, I guess the nice thing is that it never really gets too cold to ride so motorocycle season runs all year.

its a long story involving a misspelling and it just stuck. It was original enough to use just about anywhere as my user name and it hasnt been taken, so I use it
