Michelin tire hunt..

Spoke with David Hirsch the local Michelin rep who lives on the west end of Galveston. He said his house got some roof damage and will be fine, but his warehouse just west of the end of the seawall is a gonner. That means there are a truck load or two of Michelins out in the marsh between the seawall and west bay. Anyone wanna go on a tire hunt? Slicks, DOT's, in all sizes and compounds. WOOOOOOOOOO free tires!!!! Bring your 'skeeter spray.

Tried calling him right after the storm to see how he fared - no answer no VM.
Glad to hear his home is not too bad.

If anyone picks up a nice race set.....soft.....medium.......I'll give you some $. I just don't have the time to go all the way down there. I'll settle for 2ct's if race compounds are hard to come by.

If you find a decent set, I'll give ya about 50 bucks? Sound fair? But I'm serious about the word decent......meaning track worthy condition. I'm not stickin hurricane chewed tire on my bike then go screamin around MSRH......fvk.....that.....

Glad to hear him and his family made it ok......hope his house isn't to bad off.

Man you guys ARE a bunch of vultures. I was kidding. Spoke with David a few minutes ago, he's at ECR this weekend and says he didn't loose all that many. And he says no there will not be any storm sales as saltwater doesn't hurt rubber. So for the die hards, his place is the third turn after the seawall ends. You can see what is left of a row of Blue warehouses. I'll take a set for turning you on if you go........."C" soft front,120 and PR5 180 rear.....slicks or DOTs, i'll run anything.

Buck......you made us look real bad.

Now that I think about it.....I am ashamed. Besides, I'm pretty sure looting is illegal.....hence the gay curfew we're under.

Nice one Buck......nice one.

For the record.....I would never steal from anyone.......but I would'nt pass up a race set of tires laying on the beach either.....
