lol..i'm sure that if you spent the money that they guy did on the lambo..he wouldt need to be fast...i'd roll slow through the clubs like a f----r, no need to go fast when you got a car like that.....

but yeah, the z06 is bomb.

nice...that's why I love 'Vettes and they're cheaper compared to the other "super fast" cars

There's NO WAY the Vette pulled away from the Lambo like that. Maybe, maybe if it's all tricked out, like a Lingerfelt or something like that.

What are you talking about?

The 06 Z06 has a 7.0L motor with over 500hp
A gallardo has approx 550hp.

And the horsepower we're talking about here is at the engine, there is drivertrain loss. The Corvette is not only rear wheel drive but uses a torque-shaft with a transaxle. Not a driveshaft/differential like your standard RWD cars. Where on your regular car the driveshaft has to spin faster and faster as you go faster, the torque shaft on the corvette never spins faster than the engine spins (7,500rpms?), and the transmission is combined with the differential at the back (transaxle). This is the most efficient type of RWD for a front engine car.

The Gallardo on the other hand is AWD, which is going to mean more rotating parts, and more power used to accelerate those parts. Where the Gallardo might have the AWD launch advantage out of the hole. The RWD combo, with the 6spd gearing on the Z06 gives it the advantage when running from a roll, as they did in the video.
