Time and where we leave. We discuss the ride that day for directions.

And we still get pulled over regularly.

Is it worth it? Yes. You will learn more on this road then most in the area.

As for 'knowing it'... give up on trying to ever memorize a road. That gets you in trouble and may make you look like a on one road but when you ride anywhere else, you will be less then.

Get comfortable using the whole road, giving enough room to roll in further if needed. Learn to watch the paint line or road line of the opposite lane when going around blind corners to know when to turn in harder or not. Learn to do avoidance for bumps and so on.

I'd recommend going w at least one more person and have someone to call w a truck or trailer just incase. And bring zipties.

To be specific, since after all this rambling you deserve an honest answer... everyroad we take (backroad and highway, including the forest) is all to warm up and chill for the real reason we go up there: 3090.

If it says do 15mph, do it.

The 'third group' on the Forest Gnome rides runs the speed limit or double the recommended speed limit on all corners as a pace, whichever comes first.

The forest would be awesome if they'd cut the trees down, put gravel traps in the corners, and ask the cops and cars to go away.

It's good for a sunday cruise if you just wanna get out and ride sometimes though.

well lets see....the forest is a place we all go to ride our worries and woes away from the weeks worth of we've been dealing with.

its a great ride no doubt! just remember that it's YOUR ride and no one elses. the corners can creep up on you; be sure to keep plenty of space between your self and the other riders - you don't want to cause the 'accordian' effect.

like many others have stated above, you shouldn't learn the road it self but rather how to read the roads.

good luck to ya and hopefully we'll see you out there soon
