it's a place w/lots of trees
sam houston national forrest....up near lake conroe
it's as long as you make it, but if you just go straight through it's not too long
it's as hard as you make it, if you ride beyond your experience it's really hard
oh yeah IT'S FUN!

We use to have at least one down on every ride, every weekend. It has claimed many a rides... and 3090 is worse but soooo worth the ride.

For directions, we wont post them publically. But We can PM them to you if you are interested. I've been there a few times.(see signature and subtitle.)

nice ride, long sweepers, you can really carry a bit of speed through some, i like it coming south bound better. just take it slow for your first couple trips

it's fun, if you are comfortable riding you should check it out, but be ready to take it slow even tho you are confident on the highways b/c the forest is a different animal all together

The "forest" is one of many, many good roads in the area.... just one of the more known and crowded ones...

Seriously because then when you all go out on your rides under the event forum you have all the info there when, where, and what time so wouldn't this be an issue for those guys too?

We dont post how we get there to prevent them from waiting. We dont take the straight roads to 3090.

3090 at the speed limit, 60, non stop other then the 15mph turns takes about 25 minutes total.

Is it worth it? Yes. You will learn more on this road then most in the area.

As for 'knowing it'... give up on trying to ever memorize a road. That gets you in trouble and may make you look like a on one road but when you ride anywhere else, you will be less then.

Get comfortable using the whole road, giving enough room to roll in further if needed. Learn to watch the paint line or road line of the opposite lane when going around blind corners to know when to turn in harder or not. Learn to do avoidance for bumps and so on.

I'd recommend going w at least one more person and have someone to call w a truck or trailer just incase. And bring zipties.
