NASCAR = Goodyear
WSBK = Pirelli
AMA = Dunlop
MotoGP = Bridgestone
F1 = Bridgestone

Kind of sucks to be French.

AMA isn't Dunlop only is it... ? I thought there are several guys running Pirelli.

My bad ALMOST a dunlop spec....

What is funny is, the AMA road racing series is not a “Spec” tire series. Dunlop, Michelin and Pirelli directly support the series. What makes Dunlop such a powerhouse that the AMA can change the length of a race and the “Request” of the Dunlop racing representative Jim Allen. The fact is that Dunlop tires are on about 75% of all the AMA Superbikes, and many non sponsored racers chose Dunlop tires. These racers just can not easily switch brands of tires in a weekend, plus the expense to have extra tires is something these racers may not be able to afford

The one-make is just a proposal from Bridgestone and isn't final, yet. Won't be decided until Oct 18. Read it here:

Actually the proposal for a single tire supplier is from Dorna. Bridgestone has just sent in a offer/strategy to implement the plan. For example:
Each rider will get number of tires for testing
Each rider will get number of tires for each race weekend
Each rider will get number of tires for Qualifying

They will state if these tires will be production slicks or will they develop a special tire just for the Motogp series. It really outlines how Bridgestone would like to do business if they were the only tire supplier.
