i'm actually more comfortable clutching up at low speeds on the 1000.....just listen to previous posts and start low in the rpm range and work your way up....

so you can power it up...anybody with a right hand can do that

but, can you find bp? that's the whole idea ya know

and prolly more importantly, are you comfortable with using the back brake while the front wheel is off the ground?

start at low rpm's in 2nd, say maybe 20-30 mph, don't try too much at first like studying your tach while learning, listen to the bike...

be on an open road, wear your gear, have friends standing by just in case...

i've heard doing a k stand is an easy way to start, it helps with balancing the bike


and lastly, all i've ever heard is that people who whoolie have all crashed at some time or another.
