Operation Safe Commute

Ok folks, it's time to watch your butts. Due to numerous and increasing complaints over the past few years of aggressive, and reckless driving on the toll roads (Sam Houston, Hardy, Westpark). Starting TODAY, Thursday 11-17-05 there will be at least DOUBLE the amount of marked cars on the toll roads in specific locations. These marked cars will already know you are coming however, there will be unmarked cars riding with the flow of traffic looking for speeders, tailgaters, swervers, etc...... SO having a radar detector means nothing, they will be out in force, especially during peak commute times 7am-9am, 4pm-6pm

Can't find the press release, here is a link to the Harris county toll road authority's website http://www.hctra.com/

I used to ride the toll road to get to school in the mornings and gave it up because of the psycho-cagers that would tailgate me between cars. It's not just the bikes that cause problems running around at triple digits, it's the cagers that think their toll fees are a ticket to drive like as*holes.

I went 120 down westpark toll this morning and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Traffic was nil on the outbound side.

Thanks for the heads up though, I will be more wary especially at the overpasses.
