Rider down...Beltway 8 onramp & 59 (SW)...

Was about 12:45 PM today, I saw a rider leaned up against the Beltway onramp barricade. He had an ambulance with him...and his bike was propped up. Yellow SV650...

I think he is ok. Further down closer to beechnut I saw a parked black bike

Since I've been on MH we've had a couple of riders go off the elevated overpasses, falling to their deaths.

how awful.

doesn't suprise me though, those ramps are usually lonnnnnng sweeping curves, the kind i like to go fast on. the height is what keeps me from doing it though. highside on the freeway ramps FTMFL.

Wow, that really is sad.

I hope this guy/gal is alright too. At least he was leaning upright, sounds like a decent sign at least.

Yep- Ian- Chris###Scott or something on here. He's all healed and moved back to OK.

Is that what happened. I saw the bike (the yellow SV) it was propped up and facing the opposite direction. When I passed by, there was no rider (probably taken away by ambulance if it was an accident), there was a police car with its lights on and a wrecker parked ready to tow.

Was all very strange.

Then heading a bit farther down, there was a parked black sportbike (possibly a honda) on the north bound toll road and a wrecker parked with the driver walking towards the bike. Must have ran out of gas or broke down......no rider in sight.

yup...my guess is that the rider was taken away via ambulance.
And the black sportbike rider was cool enough to stop to try and help out.
kudos to him for walking up the ramp with oncomming traffic

Sorry I probably wasnt that clear. It was two separate cases. The parked black sportbike was miles away on the opposite side of the freeway (on the beltway but closer to I 10).

It was all weird anyway. Hope all were okay.....
