Need a hand SW side

Anyone in the Sugarland/Stafford area have a rear stand I can borrow for a couple of hours tonight? If not outright borrow it anyone want to bring one over and help me change my chain? I've never done this before and could use a helping hand. If not I'll pick it up on a crane at work and try it myself.

There you have it. I found a stand from Chris (thanks man!!!). I would like someone with more experience than I have to drink beer and make fun of me but I'll do it by ear and fear if I have to.

I am sure Javi would be more than willing to show you how to do it yourself and use his stands.

I'm stuck!!!!

If anyone has a chain tool I can use for a whole 10 minutes (specifically, I need to mushroom the rivets on the master link and I'm done).

I'm 97% finished and I'm stuck like chuck. Took the old chain off and shortened the new one via old school shop class method. I had to file down the heads of four rivets and use a drift to punch them out. I'm now stuck without a way to install the new master link (mushroom the new rivet pins). Please call me if you can smoosh some rivets for me tonight. 713-249-4998 - Jeff

If not I have the grace of Chris to use his stand for another day or two.

I thought you had a rivet tool because you were going to do it yourself. Lesson learned, hu?

Someone get this man the tool. And when you get it dont over tighten and squish the o' rings.

The chain is done. Went ahead and bought the chain tool. 79.99 @ Cycle Gear. I think I got one of the rivets a little tight but it looks to be loosening up on the first couple of rides. The new chain came with shims to prevent over tightening but I muscle fu*@cked them pretty good. Thanks again to Chris for use of the stand.

Please close this thred.
