I was wondering if anyone had any generators for sale or if anyone knew of any places that still have some in stock? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Ace Hardware on Mason & Highland Knolls had some 6.5Kw for sale. $995.

I heard that Lowes stores had 14 truckloads come in.

Thats right, mine is using 5 gallons per day and 5 gallone each night, thats about $35.00 for 24 hr period, a couple years ago we ran ours around the clock for 10 days, but worth every penny, kinda makes U appreciate the things we take for granted every day, like flushing toilets and electricity and water, keep safe and good luck, if anyone needs us we are here for U

Wow - what size & brand gen do you have? We're only going through 5 gallons/24 hours, but I'm not keeping it on 24 hours straight. The frig does okay if I top the gen off at 10-11 before bed, then it runs for 5 hours before running dry 'till morning.

Honda of Houston was said to have been getting in a huge load of several thousand generators before the storm. Not sure how many they ended up getting in but I believe they are still open in order to sell them to those in need.

Good place to get a gen. that won't keep you and your neighbors up all night from noise.

Wow I just looked at the Honda website. They're quite pricey.

The honda's are amazing generators, load-idling, great efficiency, last forever, etc

if you want one for when the next one hits in 25 years, I bet it would still work.

When it comes down to motor, honda is way ahead of the game

Our Honda EU1000i has been trouble free for the four years we've had it. (Just have to do very frequent oil changes. It has a tiny oil capacity - the oil gets low and dirty very quickly.)

It could be next year, or it could be decades from now, the next time a big storm moves though Houston and knocks out power. Get a generator good for the long haul IMO, not just the next few days/weeks.

I just know that after this stuff blows over I'm poring a slab in the backyard and buying a 22kw diesel generator.
