kawasaki of houston has a small selection. some helmets, jackets, and other stuff. not the all the newest models, but at least its in stock so you can see it, touch it, try it on etc...before you buy.

i got my icon alliance helmet from there. i really like it. ill probably order a better one when i can afford.

icon is a good brand. the quality is a lot better than the cheapo $100 lids, and i trust them alot more than the wal-mart brand, thats for sure. with icon, they look good and you get better quality, without having to drop half a grand on a helmet. instead you pay around $200 give or take, depending what you want, where you get it.

when im rich, i might buy the more expensive stuff, but im very happy with what i got. something about their styling that makes it not look like everyone elses.

oh, and if you go to their website

www.rideicon.com

there is a dealer locator.

IMHO your better brands come from lines that are testing there products on the track and getting proven results from these kind of impacts but wearing something is better then nothing as well.

never buy icon gloves, they are horrible quality even for chinese goods. only ones I would trust are the timax gloves, and there are much better examples to find elsewhere for less money.

also, the fit of some of their jackets and pants is pathetic. timax pants are definitely in this category, the sizing is really poor. trying icon stuff on before buying is a must.

I'll take a scorpion helmet at 120 bucks before an icon.

ive got some joe rocket gloves i picked up for about $80 last winter. they help a little against wind, not much against real cold though, but not much does.

i really like them though. they have hard plastic across the knuckles, and plenty of padding where you would need it. its a "long" style glove, and the best part is how well the velcro works. it wraps two sides around to the bottom, and it has an extra strap with velcro on the wrist, to hold it all tight. very nice.

Buy things that are wind proof and water proof. Wind proof is the key to staying warm!!!!!

I see alot of posers sporting icon mesh jackets. I dont like all the bling. I have never seen one after a fall though but I hear they dont hold up. I use an HJC leather jacket and a Fieldsheer mesh jacket.
