Vrod? I duhno... had a friend's kid that had one w an exhaust and tune and that thing didn't compare to the katana.

But I agree there are fast cruisers out there, regardless of their weight. For that matter most Goldwings will smoke a sportbike up to 60-80. they can just drop the hammer and go with the stretch and weight of it. Most sportbike peeps know how to ride fast after the initial start.

In answer to the airbox mod - it did not have the standard big round chrome thing (it typically holds an air filter) on the right hand side of the motor. Big round chrome thingy was not there. Some kinda chrome intake thingy was there in place of it. It looked like a ram-air sort of device on it. I know that Dyna's don't have airboxes per se, but it is the closest approximation to the function it serves.

I will have to correct you on that one, witchdoctor
There is NOTHING "de-tuned" with the b-king motor.
The only differences are:
1) The airbox is smaller as a result of the special frame JUST FOR THE B-KING
2) The exhaust system is different because it is longer because of the
routing under the tail section.

When it comes to motor, it is the same 1340 "new spec" Busa motor.
Same heads
Same cams
Same displacement
Same crank
Same transmission
Same motor, internally.

In fact, the B-king has a larger rear sprocket (two-teeth) than the Busa.

Therefore, the B-king will hurt a Busa owner's feelings on the launch.
Add in the BMC air filter, and X-TRE upgrade (16.7 hp increase in the first two gears), and I hurt your STOCK Busa, any day

that's good, because as we all know, the stock busa is horribly underpowered

but yes, that's my bike, and it's a hyosung gv650, as stated in my profile thing on the left

That's just awesome! My good friend is the Southeastern Sales Manager of Hyosung in Atlanta. He has the gt 650, the 450 quad, and the 650 cruiser in his garage that hauls all over the southeast. He was telling me how the Hyosung cruiser embarrased a couple of Harleys at a couple of dealerships I was always impressed how neat the Hyosung looked, bone stock!

I will keep an eye out for your machine, in the future.

hhhmmm, okies, i'll bite. dunno beans about a vtx, but its like that, I prolly want some, sadly, since I've converted to jockey shift an foot clutch, its not conducive to racing, I did pull a second gear whoolie the other day with one hand on shifter and one on bars, scared out of me though.

he was probably real world in the neighborhood of 70+ hp with his mods. dont pat yer' back to hard. I had a dude on a new 96 ci, 6speed hardley mess with my mad sporty the other day, you could tell it was new and he thought he had a monster at his beckon. I let him hammer it and then I romped and ripped by him like a jet on crack. he gave me wave a bit later when he caught up.
I'll bet you picked on the skinny little kids in school too huh?

Seriously though, the B-King is a cool bike. Just not sure if smokin a harley is really bragging material for that kind of bike.

True, but it does make me giggle a bit. I mean, it was obviously $30K + invested in his bike. He was rollin' with the attitude, too. He started the whole thing, too! I mean, he took off without provocation, and I let him take the jump, AND two shifts before I even turned the throttle half-way!

I didn't just beat him, I beat him from behind, at half-throttle, and without shifting! Those harleys are a whole lot of money to go slow, make noise, AND look like an idiot. I just don't get it!

It's not about the beating of a Harley but the smoking of some old squid that thought he had something to compete with. Only to have his nuts served to him via the B-King.

Props to the B-King.
