Gibernau to Race Fifth Ducati in '09?

According to an article by Spanish weekly Solo Moto, Sete Gibernau will likely campaign next MotoGP season aboard a fifth Ducati Desmosedici. The team would be run by Pablo and Gelete Nieto (sons of Angel), backed by wealthy Spanish businessman Francisco Hernando, and sponsored by Spanish construction company Onde 2000 (currently a sponsor of a KTM 125cc Grand Prix team).

It is expected that a spec tire may be introduced to MotoGP in 2009, in which case the fifth bike that Ducati typically devotes to tire testing would be available.

Although Toni Elias has also been mentioned in connection with the team, Gibernau has a good relationship with the Nietos and met with them in Madrid this week. (Gibernau has also been mentioned as a possible replacement for Andrea Dovizioso at JiR Team Scot.) Although the Ducati deal seems the most likely, nothing has been signed yet, according to the story.

Tanted rider no doubt but I would have preferred to see Bautista or Simoncelli on the bike.
