Fuller, is your kayak for fishing? I have one too, but that thing is open and would seem easy to fall out of.

I'd prefer to bring the surfboard, but would be down for either. I'm off Friday so let me know.

Depending on the weather and location I will probably go to either surf side or down to matagorda. I am even going to make my way to Corpus if the storm moves further north as projected. But as always wont know until the last possible minute.

yeah the north and east sides of the storm here are the dirty sides, sometimes good sometimes just really choppy and rainy. I am actually really contemplating going to Bob Hall Pier, been there before like 3 years ago, havent gone back since. But was sweet when i was there. But it is a long ace drive even when you can stay with family. But like i said im makin up my mind on thursday when i see what the storm does! You know, lol.

it's made for fishing and touring... it's 11.5 feet long with a bow hatch... but it'll still ride some waves. it's a Sit-on-top kayak. if i had a surfboard then i'd give that a try

Let's see how it is. Sounds like ours are similar. Thursday check in. If not completely blown out, I'd like to try the kayak out there. I'll bring the board too.

Bob Hall pier is 4 hours away. I'll take my chances in Surfside.

galveston guts are too shallow for any decent sets, even when we get tropical action. corpus down to pins is the way to go. surfside is better than galveston too, but not much.

Looks like surfside might be the best option since it looks like it is going between corpus and gorda.
