Watch out heritage park area!!

I finally decided to get off my lazy last night and install the new carb jet on my TTR 90/110.
I did the big bore and racing cam approx. 1 year ago and never started it.
new clutches, one down on front sprocket 12.5:1 compression and racing cam.
put gas in it, 5 kicks later it fired off and purred. I'll do the last few odds and ends and before you know it, I'll be pimpin' small styled stuffs agin'.

dizzamn ! my reign of terror didnt last long, I rode it very easily up my street, it pulled up to balance point in first with ease, but I was babying it so I could break in the rings, rode it for about a minute, then parked it and had a fan running on it while it sat and idled for about 5 minutes, then it just shut off like it lost fire.
I kicked easily and felt no 12.5:1 compression and said "DOH"!
anyways, first thing I did was pull the rocker covers, no movement of cam, ruh roh......then pulled the cam gear cover, and found the culprit, it tossed the cam gear off due to the bolt backing out and broke the locating tab off of it. good example of why you should always use thread lock on stuff like that, lesson learned for me many, many years ago, but I didnt assembly the cam gear portion of this motor and should have double checked the work by others, I didnt and it cost me.
Since it was idling when it happened, nothing else got damaged, I hope. it all appears fine. I'll order a new cam gear today.

clean the cam bolt holes with brake clean, then blow out with air, same on the bolts, blue lock tite. If you dont get the oil out of the holes and/or the bolts the loctite will not work.
