So new...

I have just gotten into bikes here lately... until now I have only been interested in being on the back but I am hoping to change that soon... I am thinking about getting a kawasaki ninja 250 because from what I have heard and read its a good "starter" bike. I dont really feel that I know enough about bikes to go buy one yet so any advice would help

I have been doing a lot of studying up on it lol ( I didn't even read this much in school) but it all kind of runs together after a while... I'm more hands on... it is supposed to be easy to handle and turn great but that's all I really know so far.

A 250 is a GREAT bike to learn on and get the basics down. Ya can't beat 70+ MPG either. You're making a smart choice starting off small.

LOL thats funny you say that... about a year ago I was looking at bikes and i saw a "pretty" one that I wanted to start off with... GSXR 1000. I am older and wiser now so I have pretty much figured out that I would kill myself on one

yea the new 250's look a lot betr than they used to also lol. if u plan on upgradn in the future i think u might be spinnin ur wheels and may go upside down on the deal. most people ride them for a few days b4 they get bored with them and trade them in. just get the 600 and be done with it. i workd at kawi for a while and thats what everyone that bought 1 did.. and bad and ur bill when a new bike is added. u can tune down a biggr bike till u get used to it if u really want

Hey wassup! It's good that your starting on a 250 good choice. I started on a EX500 kawi. Learn as much as you can, then when your ready move up. My next is a 1000cc.

That right? Maybe when you raped them at the dealership. It's very common to buy a used 250, learn on it for roughly a year, and sell it at, or near what you paid for it. Also, how exactly do you 'tune down' a bigger bike?
