cycle gear san antonio

Just wanted to say thanks to all the help cycle gear refused to give stranded riders in san antonio.... We had a tire shred on the way home from three sister yesterday at about 4 oclock. We arrived at cycle gear arount 4:45, we needed a tire to get home. The problem was that we are 300 miles from home and we dont have a stand to take off the tire. They absolutly refused to help us get the tire off. They wouldnt let us use a stand or borrow any tools to get the job done. So at 5:00 they locked the doors with two fellow riders stuck in the parking lot. Luckily we found some relatives in the san antonio to stay with. Big thanks to Alamo Powersports for all the help this morning. They are a class act.

Cycle gear is a retail store, not a mechanic. They do not have any areas to work on bikes. Therefore, I wouldn't expect them to work on your bike. They don't have any trained mechanics, and are only trained to mount tires onto wheels that are brought in to the store (off of the bike). Also, merchandise is not supposed to leave the doors if it isn't paid for. I wouldn't expect for them to bend on their policies, simply because they are not allowed to. I also wouldn't expect for them to turn a "NEW" item into a "USED" item.
