What type of motorcycling do you enjoy the most?

Just wanted to get a feel for what type of motorcycle enthusiast we have here. I know many of enjoy different types of riding, and the diversity is what makes it so interesting.

Me personally, I am really enjoying the time I am spending on the track. I enjoy learning my bikes and MY capabilities. I love to ride my bikes the way there were built to ride. I like learning and riding fast, draggin knee without the threat of police and certainly less risk to death.

I also love the spirited backroads riding. I know the risks I take when ride that way, tickets, severe injury, jail or even death. But I really do enjoy it.

And finally, I miss my Fiddy. I liked going to the lots, shootin the with some friends, wrecking, skinning up my elbow and knees! Plus, there is nothing like the look on a kids face when they see a big guy like me, wheeling past them.

I like ridign backroads at a casual pace too, I just am not mature enough to maintain that pace. I dunno why. And I have witnessed death, first hand, but for some reason I just can not maintain a casual pace.

What I absolutely HATE is commuting on a bike. I wont do it.

I DO NOT like that mad dash around 610 loop at night either. That scares the out of me! Although I do enjoy PP1 on occassion.

And I can't stand riding in a straight line. All I think about is how screwed up my tires are becoming. Going through tires at the rate I have been since my track addiction, the last thing I want to do is waste them going in a straight line.

So I put up a little poll. Share a little comment after you vote.

I like doing any kind of backroad riding, but I also listed commuting b/c it's a of a lot more enjoyable on my bike than in my car. I also don't see much traffic.

Long trips on the bike are fun too, as long as there are people to ride with.

backroad casual riding with the occasional spirited runs for me. However after getting some laps in at TWS (Texas World Speedway) my aggression in the corners during street riding has calmed down a little bit.

Backroads...

Although, every once in a while. Freeway with light traffic can be lots of fun.

as of now, i like the spirited back road twisties most of all, but i have yet to give the track a shot. i've done a couple long trips (500 miles in a day is a long fkn trip imo!) and i'd do it again but not unless i really have to. i usually commute on the bike about 4 days of the week, not because i love traffic or anything, i just do it.

I love the track. I like riding period, I will commute, ride to dinner, take a back road, whatever it is, but can confidently say the track is def. my favorite. I can't wait until I can actually go fast on the track!!!
Hopefully I'll find out SOON. I cant wait to get out there!

Man, I like the track because it is safer to haul but nothing beats a spirited ride in hill country if you hang it out there. So many more turns and scenery to boot than the track and its FREE!!!

But if you do eat it it is going to hurt more.

My thoughts exactly.

Track and spirited backroads for me. Casual backroad riding will be when I have the cash to pick up a nice cruiser. Once I get that, I plan on hitting up all 50 states on it...

Track first and foremost,
then the casual ride by myself, where i don't have to worry about everybody making it through that yellow light, or getting stopped by cops.
