Football pot for Track bike and $500 gas cards

Just throwing this out there. Was thinking about doing a football pot. $100 a square, $500 gas cards for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd quarters and the track bike and all accessories at the end of a specific game.

This will put the take above the asking price but still well below what I have into it. I will iron out the details if there is enough interest.

Just looking for some feedback. What do you think? Anyone interested?

Here is the bike.

Im in for sure.... We do a 100 pot for super bowl every year at work.... I would pay 100 square to get a track bike for final score payout...

Put up the details on how each 1/4 will be paid out.
How numbers are pulled
paying bad numbers
forward and backward numbers.
post some details

What I was thinking... A straight game last numbers in the quarter. Maybe a Monday night football game. Once all the squares are filled we'll do it on the following Monday. Draw the numbers before the game at a centrally located Hooters or Wing Stop in Deer Park on Spencer, where we can all watch the game together and the ultimate winner can load and go at the end of the game.

Seen the bike tonight, its in great shape. Good guy also gave me a few sets of take offs for my 650. I have known him for a while from motocross, his son is as fast on a motocross bike as he is on the street.

What the chances of making this a sticky until we get a full roster?

We are putting it together and I will be taking the bike along with the items to be given away to the next CMRA race at Eagles Canyon at the end of this month for inspection and to try and fill the board.

THE BIKE WILL NOT BE RACED OR PUT ON THE TRACK AGAIN UNTIL IT GOES HOME WITH THE NEW OWNER!

There are still a few details to iron out and I will post them up by this weekend. ie: When and where to buy your squares. Who will control the monies ect. and info on refunds if we cant fill the board.

Thanks MotoHouston for your replies!

Start taking payment, go to your bank and get a safety deposit box andkeep the money in there. When i worked at amaco cb we did a $500 square and the money was kept in a safety deposit box

Betting "squares" are probably the most common form of football pool. It requires no knowledge of the game, just some luck.

To set up the pool, I will draw up a 10-by-10 grid. The gridís length is designated for one team and the width for the other. For a price, bettors buy "squares" within the grid.

After the squares are filled, a number between zero and 9 is assigned to each row and column, giving each square holder a number for each team. The assignment will be done just prior to the game by drawing randomly from a deck of cards ace through 10, ace being 1 and 10 representing 0. This will be done and witnessed in front of the party just prior to kick off. If the number in the bettorís square match the last digit in the score at the end of each quarter, that bettor wins.

For example, a bettor could draw the 7-3 square, 7 for the Texans and 3 for the Cowboys. If, at the end of the first quarter, the Texans were ahead 17-3 the 7-3 square would be a winner. The gas cards will be awarded to the winners of each quarter and a grand prize (track bike package) goes to the person whose square reflects the gameís final score.

I have seen in the past, one person take the whole pot when the score did not change from the first quarter to the final score.
