I am working on our endurance team owner to step-up and do a WERA National endurance race at Barber next year. Hopefully we can fit that race between our normal racing. Fingers crossed. I should know more after they make up the schedules for next season.

After all...I've been to Barber (without a freekin bike)...it's not much further than Hallett.

Good showing! Lucky bastards...lol! I mean that in the nicest way!

(Jody do NOT read this)

What a freaking great flipping weekend!!!

The track is SICK! No traction issues ANYWHERE! When your out doing laps its hard to concentrate on the track b/c the scenery simply rocks. You'll go around every lap and notice something cool be it a statue, hill, or a museum!

The facilities are top of the line. The grass is manicured. The various views of the track are just flipping awesome.

If you want to be challenged this is the course to ride for the reasons already mentioned by Tony(aka bat wings).

I'll elaborate more later but I finally got to my hotel in Lake Charles and need to chill(beer time!).

Before I get out of here I want to thank a few peeps: Jody(numero uno a-hole! one MH and just a cool ), John (the stones man who hooked me up with the super sticky 003 front right before my trip...review later) Patrick(grumpy)+ Brandon(setting up the bike correctly before my trip), and all the Texas boys that came out and made this event so much freaking fun!

I still can't believe the weekend is over!

we're probably going to try a nesba event next year, we were less than impressed with sportbiketracktime.

as for my little excursion, i wanted to see what the gravel pit felt like. i concluded that IT HURTS!!! but it does slow you down faster than grass. the bike faired pretty well, clipon bars, gas tank, rear brake lever (not that i ever use it), fairing stay, bodywork and windscreen. i ended up with some roadrash on my shoulder when my leathers came off (more on that later), a bruised pinkey, and a sprained wrist. overall, nothing major and i walked away, that's all that matters.

it was a FANTASTIC weekend. thanks to everyone who came, we definitely need to go again next year. before we went, i told myself i'd try this place once just to say i've done it, now i can't wait to go back.

and all you people who say you're not fast enough to go to barber, anybody who knows me or who has seen me ride knows that i'm not a very fast rider. as long as you have a done few trackdays, i suggest you give barber a try. if you can ride that track, anything in texas is a piece of cake. its an intimidating track at first with all the off cambered and elevated turns, but it flows so nicely that after a few sessions you'll feel right at home. and did i mention the facilities are just phenomenal.

well, time for a beer and back to sleep for me.
