Want Husky 510SMR or KTM 690 SMC to continue the hooligan activity

BOOTS... don't go with general tennis shoes etc, get something reinforced, riding specific is best for protection.

i use combat boots. i have bates brand. i dont know the model name, but it's sold at academy for like $60 and has a zipper on the side. its not as good as real riding boots, but it's a lot easier than dropping like $300 on a good pair of boots.

get some Sidi's. They are awesome. I thought I was being sharp buying some cheaper boots this past spring, they were nice, and comfortable enough but after they wore out in 3 months I figured as expensive as good protection is I might as well get the best. Looked at Alpinestars, but heard more good things about Sidi, so I went down to Motorcycles Unlimited and they recommended the Sidi B2 for me. I wear my b2's everyday and have to remind myself to take them off when not riding so i dont wear em out too fast!

Always wear boots that cover your ankles. I wear ankle guards/pads under my boots. I am only 5' nothing, though, and sometimes I wear boots with a heel.

Best thing to do is go try a few different pair on, see what you like and what is most comfy for you

Iím with ya on those for street riding. Very comfortable, hold up well, decent protection, price and waterproof. Donít wear shoes of any kind, just boots. If you can force them off without un-tying, strapping, or zipping them the road can strip em off you in a nano second.

SIDI Vertigo air on the weekends and Alpinestars SMX for commuting and rain.

There are two options: riding boots and riding boots. Either one is fine

I won't bash any boot for the track or the street. Great protection. But, there is another option for everyday riding - the Sidi Doha riding shoe. Very comfortable to wear, grips the ground like no other because of the silica sole, and walks fine and looks fine for every day use. Great shoe.
