you can take defensive driving for a motorcycle speeding ticket. Unlike in a car, on a bike the DD class IS THE MSF CLASS. you could literally kill 2 birds w/ one stone! you can't take regular defensive driving for a MC ticket, and you can't take MSF for a car ticket. (i've asked several times)

I believe it has to do with the points system. what does the rest of your driving history look like??

riding with no class m is basically riding without a license. After you pay your court costs, the state charges you a surcharge. usually in the 150-300 dollars a yr for 3 yrs.

VERY true. IF the ticket stands. Get off your tail and get your lisence... and how can you say you don't have anybody to go with you? There are hundreds of members on here who would be more than willing to ride your bike to the DMV. Excuses are like a$$holes, you know.

you don't have to own a bike to get an M endorsemet, so i don't know how they could force you to have insurance in order to get the endorsement...

but either way, please do look into taking the MSF if you haven't.

Old man?? Mad cause he had to work on his day off (he told me that). He also told me he could tell I was a daily commuter with how I had my tags mounted (what that means I have no idea!) Also told me he was glad to see me fully geared up. I asked why the ticket then...."things don't always go your way"

so the ticket was 70 in a 60 but I was surrounded by cars!! Honda civic in front of me and I wasn't even tailgating!! I don't think I was speeding...just going with the flow of traffic!

I did not deserve this ticket....and I'm fighting it.

Anyone willing to help...LET ME KNOW! Everyone on here knows me as Ganny-Joy!! I don't speed!

Didnt that other cop catch you last night? thats what april said.

you dont speed??? hahahahah!!!!! did you forget i was riding behind you trying to keep up when i got my ticket?

Maybe he is on a hunt to deter girls from riding...

OR MAYBE you were speeding......

as for the OP, take the MSF class, get your license, beg the courts. and maybe ask in you can take the advanced course to dismiss your speeding ticket.

Late to the thread, but...

+1. You'll get a LOT more offers of free help if the question is, 'please help me get my bike + car down to the DPS for my M classification test' than for, 'please help me weasel out of a ticket I deserved'.

LOTS of people will queue up to help you out for question #1, me included.
