I have let my sister and my S.O. ride my 'hawk, but it's old and been dropped plenty. However- I wouldn't let just anybody ride it. If you've got a 'm' and experience, I'll let you ride!

most people i know that dont ride are afraid of them. so when they ask to ride it i call their bluff and throw the key at them and tell them to have fun, then they give the ol "naw, id make you look bad" and give the key back. if a random stranger asks, i tell them i want a 10k cash deposit. of course they scoff at that, but when i tell them they get all their money back when they bring the bike back unscratched, they have nothing else to say and walk off.

i have let one friend ride, and that was cause i had rebuilt my bike before i knew how to ride, so i let him road test it! Other than that i have just said NO more than a few times. Same way I deal with someone that is not my wife asking to drive my car, just a simple no.

My bike is GP shift and that discourages people from wanting to ride it. I've let a couple of friends ride it that I know well. When somebody I don't know well asks, I just give them a funny look that basically says "are freakin nuts"

Unless I know they can replace it and know them well enough to know that they would replace it, the answer is NO.

Nope, very few are allowed to ride mine. Funny thing is, I've been asked to ride theirs more often than not to "diagnose" something...
