Melted my Alpine Stars SMX boot

Anyone else with a 04 + R1 have this issue? I have the Gilles rearsets and they don't put a heel guard on the right side. I wear a size 14 shoe so when I am on my toes with my knee facing out, my heel hits the rear tire. Anybody made a custom heel guard? Can't believe I didn't feel it.

That sucks! I saw you looking at it in the pits, but didn't notice what it was from.

Get a small piece of plate stainless steel and make a guard, or search around online for someone who sells them. Only comments I have other than asking Motorcycles Unlimited about finding something for you.
