So my brother-in-law decided he is going to buy...

a can-am ghey mobile. How the do I talk him out of it? He has been wanting to buy a bike but thought this would be a way to convince my sister it is "safer" How do you say, "No effing way I'm going riding with you!" without being a DH? lol It seriously looks like a car screwed a busa and this is what came out!

I don't understand what difference it makes what he rides. Do you think people judge you based on what somebody else rides?
Trust me few people care what ANYBODY else rides, much less what some other guy is sittin on.

So, to answer your question there is no way for you to say, "No effin way I'm going riding with you" without looking like a DH.

I just don't see the point unless you are unable to ride a bike. It just doesn't make sense to me! Why not let a bunch of cages join up on your next forrest run?

When a man does not seem to keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he marches to the beat of a different drum.

Let him step to the music he hears.

That is comparing apples to oranges. I'm not judging anyone for what BIKE they ride.

I just think he is making a big mistake. Spent one day on a 250 ninja and had a little near miss incident. I just feel he is ready to trade in the sports car for the station wagon.

I think I'd have fun on that thing but yes, he will likely always be a sweeper in a group and that could get boring.

A track day wouldnt be the same.

Maybe I misunderstood why you would say that you won't ride with him. I thought you meant you didn't want to be seen with him on that 'Busa/car "Can-Am ghey mobile".

THAT raises an interesting point.
What if he showed up and wanted to ride it on a TD?

Flame me all day long, fine. My point is, I know why he wants that thing, I understand that. But the reasoning is all wrong. He has been wanting a street bike for several years. This is not one, will not ride like one. And at the end of the day, it is a mistake. Perhaps ghey machine was a little harsh choice of words, but I am far from an elitist.
