I know that they will be trying to run the NASMOTO rulebook for classes. Being as old as me, though I am looking to run the Vet class, and the Intermediate class. I know that sounds like I'm sandbagging, but I haven't won one, yet. Somehow, I feel the need for even MORE trophies

Anyway, I was just lookin to hook up with some fellow MH-er's at the event. I will have my 14 ft race trailer, race tents(2 - 10X10's), complete tool box, coolers and a ton of snacks. If anyone else was interested in participating in the Saturday Amatuer event, they are welcome to park at my pit. Otherwise, feel free to stop by and say hello! My wife and I, and my 13 yr old will be there as well as the racebike: '05 KTM 450 SMR #103 with Frank Lee on it.

Also, I will be at the LSTD event @TWS (Texas World Speedway) on the 28th. So, if you see me, say hello

It looks like we're gonna try and do it too. It's so close we might as well. If we're there it will be on a 04 CRF450R bike #210.

So, now with the hurricane - I am holed up with the fam in San Anton. I have reserved a track day with lstd on the 28th. We have no power back home, the kids school said they have no further information on when they will open. On top of that, the Armadillo moved its Amatuer day to Friday.

Apparently, Skip has no appreciation for all the aggravation us Ams have to go through to get that extra day off work to do a FRIDAY event. Not to mention getting the kids out of school for that day. Therefore RUINING the chance of making any sort of family event out of it for the racers. Of course, this means that the amatuer turnout will be very poor. Then Skip will say, "Hey, nobody showed up to run in the amatuer event." Then use that as his excuse to offer nothing for amatuers in the future.

Hey Skip, that is seriously lame!

And yes, your lack of consideration for the grassroots level of this sport makes me want to blow off your event, altogether. It also makes me want to encourage others to do the same!

There is no future for this sport without grassroots development. Please take this as a reason to reconsider your decision on the present race schedule.

I thought Friday was heat races and Saturday is main events for the amateurs?? Somewhere else I saw posted that everyone who wants to race amateurs needs to sign up quick because there are only 200 spots open and 150 are already filled??

Want Husky 510SMR or KTM 690 SMC to continue the hooligan activity

I WISH. I want me a supermotard SOOO bad. I'll get into high speed trouble on a sportbike, but only get in trouble for hooligan antics up staircases on a motard, so I figure I'll live longer on the tard, plus tard's can have fun racing on go cart tracks, and there's more of those than full sport bike tracks! :-)
