Who wrote the the ticket? I guess they could hold you for an agency if they were willing to come pick you up at some point but the warrant is to place you in front of a judge within the jurisdiction that you received the ticket. Now it it was a DPS officer that wrote you the ticket then any of their judges would count, but if it was a Dallas PD ticket then you would have to go to Dallas.

Generally along with a bench warrant, comes a suspended license.

While they may not want to gome and get you for the bench warrant.
A suspended license will get you a nice little stay at one of the county's finest.

why not do deferred. there should be a box to check on the ticket for deferred and then you mail it in.

You need to get bonded. That is the only way that they won't lock you up.
Then you go to court. If the cop doesn't show, all you lost was the bonding fee. If he does show, you have to fight him in court. If that happens, the judge is definately going to suspend your license.

there's a maximum speed cutoff to be eligible for that.
