Wrecked an 08 Busa

A guy I work with bought an 08 Busa Sat. He put less than 60 miles on it and wrecked the chit out of it that day. He has some rash as does the bike. He says a lady came around the corner and went wide into his lane. He and the bike did a rail slide around the corner on the curbe. He bent both rims, possibly bent front rotors, cracked and rashed left plastics, bent clutch lever, fairing stay, and possibly front calipers. He is in the market for some parts if anyone knows of any. How bad would it suck to buy a new bike and roll out with liability only. Or to rephrase...How smart would it be? No need to ask the ?s. I think you can guess the answer to the most obvious questions that come to mind.

Not trying to jack your thread, but I hate that. If someone causes the damage even if they don't make contact they should be responsible. So your choices are to let them run you over possibly killing you in the process, or avoid them and paying for damage yourself assuming you can't avoid the curb or guardrail.

It can be cheaper for sure. The 08 I have been riding is 90 a month from SF on a 34 yo rider. Im pretty sure Fuller is under 100 a month also.

He says the bike slid around the curb, but it sounds like it was a pretty rough slide. The lips are bent.
