I've crashed a few times (on a motorcycle) at speeds ranging from 20-35mph in the past, wearing Levis only, and came out fine (maybe just a few minor scratches). I used to roadrace USCF (Cycling) wearing only spandex cycling shorts and jersies, and have had many crashes at about 20-25+ mph.
JEANS (and even just a denim jacket) MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!
