Desmo RR sighting in Sugar Land

Not sure but I think I saw a Desmo RR cruising Southbound on US59 near Hwy 6! I was traveling Northbound when I noticed two bikes heading South one of which stuck out b/c it looked like this ducati desmosedici rr 5965
could have been a 1098 but I'm almost positive I saw a Desmo. Anybody know of one in the Houston area? Too bad I couldn't have caught up with it to see for sure.

I've seen one in SL several times (same guy). Usually wears all his gear when I've seen him.

<<< Jealous as .

Holy jeezus I thought maybe it was time for a fresh pair of contact lenses... sigh... I really wish I could have gotten a close look at the bike. My jaw dropped and my face almost hit the window when I saw it go by lol

ya know...I think I would actually bust a nut if I got to ride a Desmo. It would be glorious. Yes, glorious.

If your goal is to turn heads, then yes, spend your money elsewhere.
If you want to have the baddest most uncompromising street legal production sport bike ever sold, get the desmo RR.
It's made for riders, not posers.

This is the main reason you see low mile models for sale.
This thing is made to be riden hard.

haha,
nobody crying here brah, just my opinion.
Was'nt calling you a poser either, sorry if it sounded that way.
I'm just saying, these bikes cost as much as they do because of what they do and what went into designing and building them. Believe it or not, ducati actually lost money on every one of these they sold.
You can't compare it to some blinged out custom to this.
With a good rider, this thing would embarrass anything and everything on two wheels. On a road track of course.

The best part is maintenance is free to the owner for the first three years. The only thing the owner has to buy is tires and brake pads everything else is taken care of by ducati so own one for three years and ride the heck out of it then sell it for almost what you bought it for when the free maintenance runs out.

I was up at eximports getting a new pressure plate yesterday and saw the dude rolling out with his desmosidici. Kinda younger ( early-mid 30s maybe) guy with redish hair. Seemed like a nice dude .. I believe he had a friend with a black monster that had a ton of boltons on it. Those bikes sound amazing to say the least ... and the attention to detail on them is incrediable. If I had the cash I would have one ... that or a Moto Czysz

Lol it's expensive. A minor tip over in the garage you are looking at about 3500 and everything only goes up from there.

The new exhaust for it runs $10,000 for the moto gp style exhaust. Also to save you the extra effort in the paddock the rear stand is titanium.

Don't loose your key either as it cost $2100 for replacement on a Ducati monster and definitely way more than that on the desmo.

Almost everything is carbon fiber and the biggest problem with them is getting the kickstand down when on the bike as it is tucked away nicely into the fairings for aerodynamics.
