LEAGUE CITY, Texas - A motorcyclist died Friday after he was thrown off his bike and hit by a pickup truck, KPRC Local 2 reported. League City police said the wreck happened in the southbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway near F.M. 517 at about 6:30 a.m.

The motorcyclist was pinned under the truck and died at the scene.

Two of the freeway's main lanes were closed, as was the feeder road because it was blocked by emergency vehicles.

The rider's name has not been released.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.

It was Demon Mike. A Tattoo Artist who worked at Houston Body Art.

Worked at Rarie and I's shop for a spell. Awesome artist and an avid streebike rider, raced at the track occasionally as well.

Had a daughter and was recently married as well.

Do not let accidents scare you....!!!! If your time comes, it comes. period. In the meantime enjoy the ride...!!! I commute everyday as far as there's no rain in the morning and several others in this board also commute everyday. Just don't do anything stupid and ride like you are "invisible". You will be OK.

Dam, I was just up there two weeks ago talking to mike too. He was doing some work on a friend of mine...still had some left to finish up. He and I were talking about his bike he was looking to get (2005 R6). He did a couple Texas track days not to long ago. RIP MIKE, and speed. My condolances to his family.
