it was def. a beautiful day for a ride! as for getting lost, eh no worries; now we know what not to do next time

thanks r6nick , pyrobug51 and sbfuller for your assistance with my spill. I've been dealing with diabetes for the last couple of years now but lately it seems like I have been having more episodes of hypoglycemia that tend to come on quick with little to no warning at all. I really appreciate all the concern from everyone.

see ya'll the next time out!

Had a great time ya'll...It was a blast...next time though when we designate a sweeper...we need to designate at least 3 or 4 bikes willing to help with traffic to get everyone through all the lights and intersections...i am only one and even though there were a few that helped out at times(and thank ya'll for that) we need to make sure we always have traffic guys...then we wont ever get split up...but great ride!!!

And you are welcome Steph for the help. But those are the more important reasons why i like going on big rides like that because sometimes we get out in Freakin Egypt and I'm glad I can help my fellow brothers and sisters out in times like that!!!

And last but not least--- Neal---Get Well Bro and I hope you heal up quick!!! Glad you are still here with us today brother after your spill and Bless You!!!!

One Other Thing!!!!

I noticed yesterday that there were alot of people who were NOT wearing their GEAR!!! I know its Hot!!! and all that, but WE ALWAYS need to wear our GEAR!!! I hope the people who were NOT wearing their GEAR saw what that GEAR will do for you after seeing NEAL's Jacket and Helmet after the spill yesterday and I hope that maybe that made you think twice about riding without it next time!!!! If it weren't for Neal's GEAR...he would have been ALOT worse off!!! So I would like to make a suggestion that on big rides from now on...EVERYONE MUST BE WEARING THEIR GEAR!!! Now for us Senior Members out here...we know we have lost several fellow brothers to accidents and most of them WERE wearing their GEAR!!! We all understand *t happens that is out of our hands... BUT NOONE IS INVISIBLE AND IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE... AT ANY TIME... DAY OR NIGHT... AND THIS IS JUST STUPID TO ALLOW RIDERS WHO ARE NOT WEARING THEIR GEAR TO RIDE WITH US!!! So please Senior Members---we really need to start helping our fellow brothers and sisters out and the NEWBS and make sure we EDUCATE... NOT PARTICIPATE!!!!

Thanks

As stated above, this was written up as a cruise. Many wore less then normal because of this, and rode alot more conservatively too. I was one of them. I still wore jacket and helmet but they weren't leather/snell.

It is a personal choice and it was exercised during this ride. For those whom haven't had to see someone they know not finish a ride, its doesn't make for a pleasant day. But that's the choices we make in the most simple acts of life preservation, the initial insurance of gear.

Everyone had a helmet on and for that I was satisfied.
i agree with joy...everyone that rides is an adult...they can make their own decisions...while i agree with gear...forcing someone to wear it or dont come on a ride shouldnt be done...their gear is not goin to affect whether i live or die...as long as im responsible for myself to each their own..i was behind the guy who went down..yes the gear helped him out tremendously and im glad he had it on and that hes ok...i wish everyone would wear it but the reality is you cant make em.
