1 year, 1 month and 4 days

... it took to be back on the bike! That is how long it has been since the incident.

I am just piddling around in the neighborhood for now because I am still needing to buy some good motorcycle boots (currently using my horse riding boots) and I have to get my confidence back. The first time out went better than I thought but I still need tons of practise. Also didn't help having a year break while still being a noob.

Hopefully soon, I can go back on a SMR but need new tires before I do that. All the copays and other urgent priorities put the motorcycling on hold past my doc release in March and the pain in the shoulder wasn't completely gone until about June.

My bike got fresh paint and looks and rides good, I am so happy.

Hi Sweetie! How are you all doing?

Gavin goes every Tuesday, I haven't been going much lately. When I am able to take the bike back on the street I'll probably show up more again.

What new toys have you gotten?

Glad to hear you're doing better and out there riding again! I had to find your injury thread to know what happened, as it was just before my time here. Way to go on not giving up on riding!

Thanks. I first went through "Can't wait to get back on the bike" to "It's gonna take too long, this ain't worth it, screw it" to "Gosh, I can't wait to get back on again" ...

Finally was able to see my parents last weekend, got my fairings back from my Dad since he had to paint them (new VFR had bad scratches which were like bad karma for me), Gavin (Skid) rocked and got the VFR out of storage, put the fairings on, swapped batteries and got her going the same night. Thanks babe!

Glad your back!
Take it slow, you don't want to hurt anything again. It shows a lot of inner strength to get back on the bike again.
See you around...
