Anyone going?

I've been thinking about it. I've got some friends from another forum in MS/AL that I was thinking about meeting and riding to FL with, I think at some point they wanted to ride down to the keys. All-in-all, I think close to 3k miles roundtrip is what I calculated. I'm thinking about just taking I-10 straight through Louisiana and possibly through Mississippi.

It's still a little ways off, but I mostly posted to see if anyone else is going, if they might be interested in riding that way together. Interstate riding by myself is no fun, and I'm gonna try and make AL in one day (~7-8 hrs)

Make sure you take 12 through Baton Rouge and not I-10 through New Orleans put you way out of the way. It's about a 17hr trip to Miami then about another three and half hours to key west. So hope you have an awesome seat or plan on taking breaks. Wish I could go. Don't have the time or Money and hard to put the 4mo baby on the back with the wife and diaper bag. LOL!

yeah, working on getting the seat redone, and won't be doing more than 400 mi/day, so it shouldn't be too bad.

thanks for the tip on taking 12, i'll check out some alternate routes, but i think i'm doing biloxi the first night, mobile the 2nd, so with only an hour of riding that 2nd day, i'll have a day to rest before doing another couple of 400 mi. days in a row.

I-12 will save you about an hour and a half. Used to drive from Houston to Jacksonville Fla all the time back in the 80's. 11 1/2 hours was my best time by car.
