Personally I don't get this. To feel a part of a larger group is fine, so is wanting to ride with a large group. I bet it feels pretty cool to see bikes as far as the eye can see, but to break laws and bring more negative attention to the riding community just for a few kicks? To me it would be just as fun to do it in a way that was respectful of other drivers. The more negative focus the community has the more likely for people to get pulled over and busted for riding dirty. The more chance motorists are off and don't give a to look out for bikes when driving. The more likely people don't get off with warnings when they do have all their papers current, just because the cops are tired of the riding community acting like .

Don't get me wrong, I have done enough in the past that I am fortunate to not be locked up or dead, but doesn't mean I was right to do so. It is selfish to think that your actions do not have any impact on others, everything you do effects someone else in one way or another. What purpose does it serve to do this? Are they making a statement or just trying to stir up for a few laughs?

I know I quoted you because you blatantly came out and said it, but I'm sure there are others who feel the same way that might blast me. I'm not trying to pick on you, just an old man trying to share what I've learned over the years. Have fun, live it up, but just remember that sometimes there is a bigger picture to think about. My 2 cents.

I have mixed feeling on this. We all love to pull a power wheelie of some sort on the streets occassionally. If you don't, it probably becuase you don't know how to. It's a bit different being a large group like this and blocking the lanes, wheelies, and burnouts in the middle of the road when traffic is present. It does make it look like a bunch of young punks pushing the limits of the law and taunting it as well. That is how I feel the general public thinks when they see something like this. Just my opinion from an old man. lol

Helmet laws are being found unconstitutional (rightfully so), and repealed in many states. Hopefully, seatbelt laws are next.

Note:
I think riding w/o a lid is DUMB, ditto for driving w/o a seatbelt, BUT...
I think it is every human's right to decide if they want to put themselves at risk.
Smokers can legally kill themselves.

I admit, I do like my wheelies (even though I'm not too good), but never in traffic. I'll play around on some deserted back road. If I dump it, it's my that pays.

good, good....been back on a bike since (did some MX this weekend) and felt good and am currently in a ton of pain from using muscles I normally don't use. Hopefully these muscles will heal by Sunday as I'm going to be riding at TWS (Texas World Speedway) with TTD. As for the bike, got a used rim from ebay, got new BT002's ordered this week (should be mounted tomorrow), got a new rearset bracket, got a new frame slider and bolt to replace the bent one, new front brake lever, and new bar ends. The rest is just cosmetic and nothing a few zipties and duct tape can't handle.

You heading to TWS (Texas World Speedway) on Sunday?

Agreed seatbelt and helmet laws are stupid. They impair our freedom. And motorcycle riding is all about FREEDOM!!!

Completely agree. I can't fathom how to do some of the things I see from the stunter crowd. Amazing talent, big cojones. Not safe, but great to watch.

Cant make it this weekend...heading to LA to shake up the black jack table.

Got some new race plastics (rattle can paint job) I need to get put one but haven't found the time yet. Probalby wont be out at the track again until mid Sept or so.

I've got a fever and the only prescription is more track days.
