Co-worker went down!

Hey guys, I just heard this morning that a co-worker of mine went down and is in ICU. Don't know many details, but I hear that he might not make it. If you could, keep him in your thoughts and prayers. His name is John and he's a great guy. Thanks for your help!

Just found out some more info and I am not sure if it is what I wanted to hear... A guy sitting in his house heard a big bang and went outside to find a motorcycle in his front yard. He looked around and when he made it to the road he found John laying in the street. By the sounds of it he was lifeflighted to Hermann with almost all his ribs broken, broken back, the left side of his face has several fractures. Apparently the part of his skull around his left ear that helps with hearing is all screwed up and he may never hear out of that side again if he makes it through.

This is not the news I wanted to hear for Monday morning. I hope he pulls through.

He's an A typical Harley rider. Sadly, he never wears a helmet and generally doesn't ride in anything more than jeans and a t-shirt.

Come to find out, his in-laws are good friends of my wife. We got an email about his accident on Saturday night/Sunday morning, but my wife didn't tell me the last name and I just assumed it was someone I had never met when she was reading the email. Here is the info from his mother-in-law:

Quote:
Please pray for our son-in-law John Eldridge. He hit a rock while riding his motorbike home last night and was thrown, landing on his head and shoulder. He was taken to The Woodlands hospital, then lifeflighted to Memorial Herman. He has a fractured disc, many facial bones are broken, he was bleeding on the brain, and he is on a tracheotomy. The doctors have him sedated because he is combative and not responding to verbal questions. They will be waking him every couple of hours to monitor his responses, then will do more tests to determine the extent of his injuries.
Once again, please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. He has two young kids and I would hate for them to be with out a father and this even makes me worry about my family that much more since I ride everyday...
