Shoei, Arai, or Suomy. And spend some money.

Go to a shop and try on a few different brands. Different manufacturers helmets will fit differently depending on your head's shape. Me for instance, my first helmet was an HJC. It never felt like it fit right. I tried on a Shoei and the fit was perfect. Made all the difference in riding comfort.

HJC does make a carbon fiber helmet, FYI.

you may want to double check about Suomy but last time, i read that they were taking the US support away so maybe stick with arai or shoei. And HJC has the carbon fiber as they mentioned.

Shoei, Arai, or Suomy are all super light helmets. Try the X11, RX7, they are light

and it is terrible. mine is collecting dust on a shelf next to the shoei and Arai that i use all the time..

HJC just doesn't make quality now matter what materials it uses including Carbon..

I've asphalt tested my HJC CF and it held up fine. For whatever reason HJC fits me the best of any I've tried on. No matter the price or name on the side, if it doesn't fit right it won't do you as much good as one that does.

Joe Rocket has some new CF helmets out; AFAIK they are made by HJC.

No, only changing distributors.
Suomy still has full U.S. support, and is probably better supported than when they were with Suomy USA / Gearbox Int'l.

That said, try on different helmets. Have someone who is truly familiar with helmet brands, shape and sizes fit you up.

We're very well experienced in helmet sizing and guarantee fit, plus we offer MH discounts as well as have some grat prices on helmets.

Come see us if you get a chance.

I wear an arai rx7 and I love it. Really light and has great ventilation.
