what would you do?

my buddy that painted my bike with me recently has expressed a strong desire to acquire my bike from me, and said he WILL buy it from me when im ready to upgrade.
isnt that one of a poisonous statement?
i thought i checked craigslist a lot before he told me this, but now its practically my screensaver. sheesh!
so now im scouring the lists, looking for a japanese sportbike in good condition for around $4000.
houston doesnt have much, austin had one of a nice looking scam on a zx6, lol, and man... i want another bike.
i think im in love with the 2001 tl1000s, but i would also love to rock a 636 or a gsxr600... i think.
the tl1000s is more of a dream than a reality. too much time spent on wikipedia reading about bikes has me feeling certain that this would be the bike for me if i can find one, but i think a 600 would be more in my capabilities.

the TL is a beast of a bike, especially for its day. youll have the torque delivery of a twin, and the comfort of a hyabusa. but your four cylinder bikes are where youre gonna get your high end speed. IMO, id get the TL. not only are they sweet bikes, but you hardly ever see them around. i personally only know two people that have one.

i cannot stand the tl for some reason, never liked it. If you want something like it get a sv1000. Looks alot better imo. Rc51would be cool also. Al though it would be alot less comfort oriented....

the tlr looks like a slightly mini busa (which i hate the looks of, personally), but i like the tls, which more resembles the sv. my pricerange isnt going to be a whole lot more than whatever i sell my bike for, whenever i do. i probably wont be able to find an sv1k for my budget. same goes for the rc51.
