thats just silly. root for the home team? why? what about when we didnt even HAVE a home team? change allegances? ive been a dallas fan all my life. bandwagon fans are the ones that all of a sudden root for the home team when they are having a great season, like when the 'stros went to the world series.

and why else would they choose to follow a team?"hmmmmm, this team hasnt won a game in eight years, thats who im'a root for!" now if they keep changing their minds i can see your point.

That is exactly what I'm talking about! Perfect example, thank you! You're saying why be a fan cuz they haven't won many games! I'm saying I support my team cuz I'm loyal to my city's team NOT because they win alot!

no, im saying why someone would pick a team to support in the first place. what youre saying is people SHOULD be bandwagon fans. support the local team for no reason other than theyre in teh same city. pretty lame IMO.

it was much better when it was COWBOYS VS OILERS. I've never been a fan of the texans.

First off, Go Cowboys. I've been a Cowboy fan since the 1979. I've seen my share of them loosing and sucking during the mid 80's. I was a fan when the Valley Ranch Massacre happened(the firing of Tom Landry). I was a fan during their 3 super bowl wins and their playoff loses. I've watched the down fall of Drew Bledsoe and the rise of Tony Romo. I'll be a Dallas Fan until I take my last breath. Win or lose

Second, (about the oilers) why would you honor a team when they left all of Houston high and dry. They left because they couldn't get Houston to foot the bill for a new stadium! Instead, they packed up and left. They didn't show any commitment to Houston Oiler fans that stood by them.

Third, I think the Texans will eventually become a better sometime down the road. , Tampa was the joke of the NFL for like 20 years before they became a team.
I'm not downing the Texans because they have won a few good games in their short time in the NFL. I think they can only get better as time goes bye. If they Cowboys aren't playing, I'll sometimes switch over and watch Houston play.
