2008 r1 exhaust

i wanna get a carbon fiber slip on and spend like $800 at most...i was looking at the yamaha gytr and the akrapovic...any other suggestions for that price?

Just build your own race baffles or order one of the race baffle kits. I think the kits are around $100. Pretty simple to do. Same results.

I built my own race baffles and put an Akra Ypipe on mine. Sounds great. and runs way way cooler on my ankles.

This is good advice. Even cheaper if you just gut your Ypipe. Cheap and easy. If you haven't heard the A&R baffles, they sound very throaty and will make a slight performance upgrade. Very easy to do and will save you about $600!! (From the $800 you were going to spend) If you were just looking for a sound upgrade.

Gutting or changing the Ypipe will signifcantly help with the udnder the seat heat. Also gutting the cats will help.
