I agree w/ you guys that it was probably more the team that is to blame.

HOWEVER, when he wins, Mladin gets the credit and gets his name in the record books as the winner. When he wins, the headlines and final total doesn't say -1st Place: Mladin Team. It says 1st place: Mat Mladin. The reverse is true as well. When you lose or cheat, the rider gets the blame. What comes around goes around. My $.02.

What Clyde said, makes U wonder about Spies, and even Hayden, so maladin cant win now at all, no way, Makes U wonder how long this has been going on?? and I,m sure its the sae on all their bikes, maybe its a stroke increase= more motor, Too bad I dont think he needs to cheat to win anyway, he is way talented

It's a natural part of racing to push the boundaries of the rules. There are a lot of gray areas; they went too far and got whacked... unfortunate for Mladin but pretty normal.

I want to know where the cop was hiding that was using the radar to clock all the riders. With that many speeding tickets, it was obviously a speed trap!

in superbike polishing is legal but only on the oem crankshaft

the crankshaft in mladin's bike was not manufactured by suzuki= illegal
they did check tommy and ben's motors but didnt split the cases, they just looked at the cylinders. its to late now for them to check their cranks and be able to prove those were the one ones they raced with.

...if you are a rider for any of the pro teams, it is your business to know and be sure what you are riding on. Using the I didn't know routine is just an attempt to redirect the finger pointing away from you.
Like some said, he would not be oblivious to it, that is a sure thing. Well, cheat, be prepared to pay the price, or do not do it.

They always pull the 1st,2nd,3rd place bikes apart for inspection, But I doubt they checked the same part on every bike though. I'm sure they did in this case but according to some guys on the wera board, They checked all 3 crank shafts and only his was out of compliance. That's just racing though everyone push's the envelope on what is in compliance and out of compliance. I'm sure he didn't even know about it, I doubt he even see's the inside of his motors before they are put together, So I'm sure it was just a screw up on his mechanics part.

AMA will be enjoyable again when Spies goes to MotoGP next year

I don't know why they don't do like the F1 cars. They are physically unable to go past 60 when in the pits. It automatically limits it for them no matter how hard they press on the gas.

they tore ben and tommy's motors down to the cylinders and mat's all the way down to the crank. after finding mat's to be illegal they could assume ben and tommy's crank were the same but since its been a week and american suzuki has had the motors in their posession theres no way the ama could prove that tommy's and ben's crankshafts were illegal
