hrm. well i see your situation. yes a liscence is better than nothing. you can do it that way, but i still dont suggest it. i guess its better than nothing.

i strongly suggest you consider MAKING the time for the MSF. talk a look a couple of the classes that are offered and see if there is ANY way you can work it in.

sounds like you have been riding for a while, which means you should have taken the MSF a long time ago, like before gettin the bike.

to each their own i guess.

Mancuso's class is $295 vs $180 for reg. MSF classes, their program is called Riders Edge , same stuff as MSF just add HD prices.

yeah, like he said. go buy a busa. put a nitro kit on it. and you know what, dont bother with a helmet either, or any gear for that matter.

i also stongly suggest you try to pop wheelies while going into oncoming traffic. it helps if you just keep your eyes closed. plus it looks cool.

in fact...why even bother with the liscence. your not going to live long enough to get pulled over anyways. have fun

Very good advise. This should be a sticky for all those who think they just have a natural talent for riding and just want to jump on a bike and ride to the wall.

ok since we keep it gangsta here at motohouston, and we're all a big family i got this idea. we should have some sort of punishment/reward system. we should want everyone to have this :

*insurance
*liscence
*registration
*inspection
*proper gear (helmet at *least*)

this is to protect us and keep us out of trouble! i say if you if you show up to a meet/event/whatever on a bike everyone gets to punch you in the arm once for each of those you dont have. yes, its an old school style beat-in!

dont think of it as being some gay official club type rules ...just think of it as an exuse to punch someone. we like this. be like "got your insurance yet, bro?",... "no, not yet",... "ok, FREE-LICK!!!" POW! its kind of like slug-bug.

i figure if you got a sore enough shoulder you will make time to get this out of the way. and if you get it all taken care of you get a reward, like a shirt/sticker/brew, whatever...

Take the MSF course. Even tho I took it, everyone here is still nagging me to take it.. So it's best to take it otherwise you won't hear the end of it.

Even tho you have experience and skills, you should take the course. You might learn some common-sense stuff you would never think about.
