You won't need that if you put a 2x4 in the rear wheel and bust the nut loose that way with it in gear.

Good deal, that's what Scott just told me. I wasn't sure if there was a way around it or not. I just been taking the advice from a guy who did a write-up on his trans. rebuild. Dude never mentioned other ways to do it w/o clutch tool. . . .

I did this like 15 time on my own bike you need to take a big flat head and wedge it between the outta teeth of the plate while you shoot it off with a gun, thats all. Really simply if you need help let me know. And about the 15 time of doing this clutch, if you dont believe me ask House of pain, Sonny, and everybody who watch me do this for one night. LoL

That may work, I don't see it fitting b/t the teeth but I can give it a shot. I prefer to take it off with a torque wrench w/extra leverage VS. gun but we'll see

an impact will do it, i think theres a lock washer on the back that you need to hit flat before trying to remove the nut
