Bikers blow by troopers at 140 mph, wind up in jail

Bikers blow by troopers at 140 mph, wind up in jail

A dozen motorcyclists were arrested midday Sunday after the pack was clocked hurtling along Interstate 10 in Baldwin County at over 140 mph, said Cpl. Joe Piggott, a state trooper spokesman.
They were eventually stopped on the Bayway, forcing brief closure of the highway's westbound lanes, and taken to the Baldwin County Corrections Center in Bay Minette on charges of speeding and reckless endangerment, Piggott said.

On I-10 from Florida to Alabama there is the Bay bridge which is roughly about 15 miles long. The guys where blocked in on the interstate bridge with no way off of it without being caught.
Bike radar detectors would have been helpful in this situation because the trooper that first spotted these guys was hidding off in the median. He simply radio's ahead to have the lanes at the bridge blocked off.

sucks to hear someone get busted like that... but they knew the consequences of riding that fast if they got caught. They took a chance and lost. No one to blame but themselves.
