speakin of hatin;

peeps I ride with at MH see me go from the 'Kan-a-tuna' to the busa... so I get it no matter what extreme I'm on.

As for the Kat, I love to ride it around town. Other then my throttle getting a little heavy from lack of lubrication, I let it sit for over a month w no additives in the tank and jump it to get it going often times w no problems w idle/run quality.

I had a Katana as my first bike. Great first bike. I liked the size of it. The body could use some updating. All in all good first bike. I rode with MH people a couple times, a while back, and no one cared.

<-- actually still my pic.

i dont like katana's for same reasons mentioned above by others. heavy, ugly, not updated. i think suzuki left it alone for so long becuase for a long time, people bought them becuase of the name. for many "katana" was synonomous with "sportbike". and they didnt know the difference between it and anything else. people would say "im gonna get one of them there katanas" when any bike rolled by.

but that is just my opinion, and like my arsehole, it should not matter to you. haters are gonna hate. doesnt matter what your on, if someone is talking trash, theyll say your bike is lame cause its stock, and if its not stock, they say your upgrades are lame. some people just dont know how to be positive.

and as for not going to the M&G. cause of ruining pics, that is rediculous. couple summers ago, i was out every night. went on every ride i could, alot of people hated on my bike, and alot of people thought it was cool and enjoyed seeing something other than one of the four models everyone else had in one of 3 different colors. and for the record i remember that summer, i always seemed to be riding up near the front with the fastest riders, and 90% of the haters were staring at my taillights from a distance, trying to keep up on their shiny new bikes with their perfomance slip on pipes, trackday tires and power-pretenders installed.

its a 1990 Yamaha FZR 100 by the way...

this is my wife's 93 katana with a Vance & Hines full exhaust. we absolutely love it. perfect for daily commuting and riding 2 up, and i still had fun with it out in the forest a few months back when mine was down.
