i think it's more that this is largely a hang out for sport bike riders. there just don't seem to be as many cruiser guys, period.

its not that ..its just your dealing with a community where 97% of us own sportbikes ... i show all riders love . i wave at choppers , i wave at sport bikes.. sometimes i dont get waves back from either one ...

in my book if your on 2 wheels your taking the same risk as me ...

I think its just that the site was originally geared towards the Sportbike community. And Harley guys always pick on S/B's and S/b's always pick on the Harleys.

It's not that we try to avoid them. But to some, it just doesn't hold interest.

I started off on cruisers (not harley), a lot of people I rode with had harleys, good people, good "brotherhood." I'll admit, there's nothing like a good sounding shovelhead.

P.s. It doesn't help that when we go on rides with ya'll, your parts fall off and we need to dodge them

I have noticed that to..... I think the lack of waving from some Harley riders is either ignorance or just a generation gap.....I WAVE THOUGH!!!!

Definately no hostility on my part. I can brush that kinda thing off all day long. I tend to think it is mostly the generation gap thing like you said. I have to say sometimes depending on the situation waving is just not an option at the given moment and that could be perceived as intentional.

for the most part (better than 75% of the time at least) out in montgomery county i do not see as much lack of friendliness between sportbikes and cruisers. I live off of 105 so i see bikes all day every day. the people that are least likely to wave are older white guys on brand new looking harleys, often wearing short sleeve polo shirts tucked into their golf shorts with their socks up to their knees. I do not even bother to wave to them unless they wave first. most of the guys that are "biker" looking will wave, and 99% of the sport bikes seem to wave to one another. once i go down to Houston i rarely get waves back....and if its cruisers i do not even bother.

personally i think it doesnt matter what you ride, i would not want to own a Harley but thats just a personal preference. I ride a sportbike, but want a Kawasaki Mean Streak for my next bike.

I to everyone even the old ladies out gardening their lawns or the bicyclists that ride beside each other and take up the entire lane.

My guess is that people with cruisers just aren't aware of this website. I could be wrong.

PS. How did you learn about this website?
