Best Bike Lock?

I am looking for a measure of security to protect my bike from theft. My ideal product would be an impossible chain (considering Kryptonite "***hettaboudit" chain) with a combination lock. The chains I've seen so far appear to be heavily reliable and secure, yet because the mostly need keys, I'm not confident I will never misplace the chain key some time or another.

Any suggestions?

BTW, I'm not seriously considering alarms just because I'm afraid it would go off in the middle of class where I would not hear it, and annoy the out of every single passerby.

+1 I dunno if id want my bike back after someone tore it up. When my bike was stolen i wanted it back but ended up with a new one. Who doesnt want a NEW BIKE!!! Insurance covered everything....STATE FARM FTW!!
